Summer Advanced - Educational Objectives

Total: 30 Hours/ 4 Days

This course is a 30 hour, five day program for students 14 to 17 years of age. It is designed to:

  • Teach young men and women the skills required for  vessel maintenance, navigation and advanced seamanship.
  • Impart to them the importance of safety, environmental responsibility and the dangers of boat operations while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
  • Prepare the student to qualify for Chapman School’s Advanced Student Mariner Certificate.
  • Minimum class size is 3 and the maximum is 12 students.
