The campus classrooms are air conditioned for year round comfort. There are classrooms for instruction in subjects such as navigation, workshops for training in marine electronics, boat and engine repair, and computer labs for licensing and certification programs.
The Chapman School is a full service boat school and maintains a fleet of power and sailing vessels for teaching practical, underway boating skills. A maritime reference library and artifacts museum is maintained on campus for student use.
The campus also has air conditioned dormitory style apartments which include a kitchen, bath, bedroom, dining area, living room and covered porch. A laundry room is available for student use and there is a large swimming pool with sun-deck and covered patio.
As a student, you can take advantage of all the area has to offer for recreation and relaxation. Stuart, "the sailfish capital of the world," and the nearby Atlantic provide opportunities for sport fishing. Nearby Lake Okeechobee offers bass fishing. Jensen Beach to the North and Jupiter to the South are a haven for loggerhead turtle nesting. There are also wonderful restaurants, local theaters, beautiful beaches, and other attractions for your enjoyment. No matter what part of the country you live in, we're sure you'll find our part of the country to your liking . . . and then some.
If you would like to support the Chapman School, please consider a boat donation. To learn more about how we utilize donations at the school please check out the "Boat Donations" page in the website.
