Seamanship, Safety & Environmental Concerns

Persons attending the 5 day program must be between ages 11 and 17 and in good health.  Each student is required to furnish his/her own deck shoes.

Tuition

• The Enrollment  Application must be completed and signed (by a  parent or guardian if the applicant is younger than 18) and returned to the Chapman School along with the $50 non-refundable deposit.

• Tuition balance is due in full 10 days prior to the start of class.

• Tuition includes books, supplies, and laboratory fees.

• Tuition does not include housing, board, or transportation.

• All costs are payable in U.S. currency only.

• The Chapman School accepts Discover, Visa, Master Card or American Express.

• To register for class please complete the Registration form below and submit by email to info@chapman.org or via fax to (772) 283-2019.

Refund Policy

• If the application is not accepted by the Chapman School, all payments made by the applicant will be refunded.

• If cancellation is requested within three (3) business days after signing the Registration Form, all payments made by the applicant will be refunded.

• If cancellation is requested more than three (3) business days after signing the Registration Form, but before the beginning of classroom instruction, the applicant is obligated for the non-refundable tuition deposit, which may be applied to a future boating course within one year.

• For the student terminating training after the beginning of the course, the student is obligated for the full amount of the contract price.

• Applicable refunds are made within thirty (30) days.

• Where notice is provided to the School greater than 3 business days before the start of class to transfer my registration to a different class start date, a $50.00 administrative change fee will apply.

A Chapman School certificate of completion is awarded to students who complete the course.  Students will receive reading assignments and lectures to help prepare them to pass the State of Florida Boating Safety Exam.

Upon completion of Summer Boating For Youth, you may wish to continue your boating education with Intermediate or Advanced Summer Boating For Youth, Voyager or Power Boat Handling (Age limits apply - See course brochure for details).
